If you are looking for a great family day out, then Yorkshire Wildlife Park is the place to head to. One of South Yorkshire’s newest attractions and just outside of Doncaster, this wonderful York Attraction takes up a whopping 70 acres as part of a 260 acre site.
Experience the parks wonderful Lion’s safely from the 800m pathways that lead through the Lion reserves in Lion Country. If you fall in love with these magnificent creatures, then you can adopt one through the Park’s Lion adoption scheme.
Take a trip to the Lemur Woods where you can meet three species of this fascinating and endangered species. See the masters of the trees in a natural environment.
See one of the most endangered carnivores in Africa, the painted Hunting Dog. In the African Plains section of the Yorkshire Wildlife Park you can see Zebras, Antelopes, Ostrich and Ankole Cattle roam free.
A popular area of the park with young children is the Wallaby Walkabout, here your children will be able to pet these very friendly marsupials.
Coming Soon in 2011, Land of the Tigers. Here you will be able to see a state of the art tiger reserve that will home two endangered Siberian Tigers, Vladimir and Elsa.
When you are tired from walking around and seeing all the animals you can stop off at the Wild Café and experience some of the local produce on offer.
