Visit the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway and be transported back in time! This wonderful Yorkshire Attraction is one of Britain’s last remaining complete heritage branch lines and runs up the Worth valley from Keighley to Oxenhope. The line connects to the national rail network at Keighley.
The 5 mile long route takes a beautiful and picturesque route, allowing you to appreciate the rich cultural rail heritage of West Yorkshire, stopping at stations Ingrow, Damens, Oakworth and Haworth as well as Keighley and Oxenhope.
To experience the full standard gauge branch line in all its glory, you can take the full round trip that lasts about 90 minutes from the start to the end and back again.
The Railway might appear familiar to you as it was used in the 1970 classic film “The Railway Children”. Its 1950s look and atmosphere has meant it is extremely popular in the world of TV and film and has been featured in Poirot, A Touch of Frost, Last of the Summer Wine, Songs of Praise and Sherlock Holmes.
This fine heritage railway is kept in top condition with painstaking attention thanks to a team of dedicated volunteers.
